Spicy Sausage Pasta Shells

I prefer to make this fall-wintery dish with spicy sausage. You can use mild, its just as good. This is such a hearty, satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta shells
  • 1 lb spicy Italian sausage
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper
  • Grated Parmesan for topping

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta shells until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown sausage with onion and garlic in large skillet.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, cream, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 10 minutes.
  4. Toss pasta with sauce and top with Parmesan.
