Creamy Garlic Orzo
Rich, garlicky orzo that's better than any restaurant
Ingredients
- ΒΎ cup orzo
- 1Β½ cup chicken stock
- ΒΌ cup half + half
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- 1Β½ TB butter
- Β½ cup parm, grated
- Optional: thyme, cherry tomatoes halved, spinach
Instructions
- Melt butter in high-sided skillet. Add orzo, toast for 3 mins.
- Add garlic, stir constantly one minute. Add stock Β½ cup at a time, stirring constantly until pasta is cooked. 8 mins or so.
- Add parm and cream, turn off heat. Stir and serve quickly because this thing turns to brick marble in 10 to time.
Recipe Note:
This is one of those sides that'll make people think you're a way better cook than you actually are. Serve it immediately - it really does firm up fast!
