Spinach Dip

Spinach, artichokes, and a surprising ingredient that really ties it all together. I've never liked it made with too much mayo or sour cream, I prefer it a bit sturdier. Call this blasphemous, but this is a copy of a certain chain restaurant's recipe that has always been my absolute favorite, anywhere.

Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 8oz cream cheese
  • 14 oz can artichokes, chopped
  • 10 oz jarred Alfredo Sauce. Yes, you read that right.
  • 1 packet dry vegetable soup mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped water chestnuts (optional)
  • 1 round loaf sourdough bread, sliced
  • 1 cup Parmesan-Romano cheese blend
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella, plus extra for topping

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients into greased 2qt baking dish.
  2. Cover with mozzarella and bake at 350 for 20-25 mins.
  3. Allow to cool for ten mins
  4. Slice bread for dipping. Feel free to toast bread, but its just as good untoasted.
