Sausage Cheese Balls

Look, if you're on this site you have realized that I am here for a good time, not for a long time. These are savory, rich, and built to be eaten in two bites or less, they belong at every gathering that starts before noon.

Serve them warm and don’t overthink it. They’re not trying to impress anyone—they’re just doing their job very well. Dip them in nacho cheese, who cares.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups biscuit mix (like Bisquick)
  • 1/4 cup milk (optional, if needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix sausage, cheese, and biscuit mix in a large bowl until combined.
  3. Add milk if mixture is too dry.
  4. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on baking sheet.
  5. Bake 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes:
  • Best served warm with mustard or the aforementioned nacho cheese
